The ADHD memory lost moment and sudden return to it was so classic! Laughed out loud. This podcast is intriguing, looking forward to seeing where you take it.
I absolutely love stand-up comedy! I took an improv class. I'd love to find a way to bring comedy + trauma together on Substack. Laughter is one of my ultimate weapons against the chaos of life. Recently, I had a chat with someone on Substack about launching Trauma Comedy Central! 😂 We almost thought we’d get booted off the platform for that! Not everyone wants to laugh. Imagine tackling trauma without the heavy drama and victim mentality now that would be an interesting challenge.
I’ve got a dark sense of humor. I have zero tolerance for poor me. That doesn't get anyone anywhere. We’re challenged to rise above. Not everything happens for a reason, but we can leverage these negative experiences to help elevate awareness and consciousness. The power of humor and how it’s helped me heal is just one of many ideas that Ive considered. It’s great to see you try podcasting. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.
I’ve even toyed with the idea of creating trauma-themed comic strips. I just need to level up my drawing skills beyond stick figures! I know my dark humor might not be for everyone, but I’m sure there’s a space for both deep dives and light-heartedness.
I followed you just fine. I enjoyed listening and am looking forward to listening to and reading more.
I've read, if not everything on here that you've written, close to all of it.
It's ok that you aren't seasoned. You're sharing, no longer silenced and alone in the darkness. Surviving and offering a hand out via what you've survived to help those of us who need it, that's priceless.
I really enjoyed your first podcast, I love Chris Gardner and my favourite of his writings that speak to me is: "Strong people stand up for themselves, but stronger people stand up for others."
Hahaha 🤣 Fellow ADHD brain here! Love the podcast and looking forward to seeing more. I have also been going through more shit than one person should have to bear. Happy to take you along on my healing journey with me. If you happen to have a chance, check out Cody Taymore. Very talented but more importantly, very relatable and informative. You 2 are my favs! The podcast is going to rock ...tear that shit up!!!!
OMG... did you just die laughing at my comment!!! LMAO! I just realized that you are Cody Taymore. Well, you are my favorite writer! I'm always doing silly things like this, it's all part of my charm hahaha 🤣🤣🤣
