You Didn't Heal to Become Palatable. You Healed to Become Unstoppable.
You didn’t fight your way back just to beg for their acceptance.
You didn’t survive all that just to make yourself easier for broken people to love again.
You didn’t climb out of the wreckage just to crawl back into it, smiling wider, apologizing harder, thanking them for the cuts they left on your skin.
You didn’t fight for your life just to turn yourself into something small enough to be swallowed by people who never deserved you.
Healing isn’t about sanding yourself down.
It isn’t about softening your edges to fit back into places you had to bleed to escape.
Healing is about remembering who the fuck you are —
before they guilted you into shrinking.
Before they taught you survival meant silence.
Before they convinced you that being good meant being easy to use.
You didn’t heal to become quieter.
You didn’t heal to become sweeter.
You didn’t heal to become more convenient.
You healed to become undeniable.
And now that you’re standing, they don’t know what to do with you.
They call your strength arrogance because your loyalty no longer outranks your clarity.
They call your standards cruelty because they can’t manipulate you with shame anymore.
They call your truth bitterness because they’re still clinging to the lies you outgrew.
Let them.
You owe no one your smallness.
You owe no one your easy forgiveness.
You owe no one your seat at their broken tables.
You don’t exist to be digestible.
You don’t exist to be tolerated.
You exist to walk into every room like the miracle you are —
the one they didn’t think would survive.
The one they prayed would stay broken because it made them feel better about their own emptiness.
You’re not broken anymore.
You’re not manageable anymore.
You’re not safe for the systems that needed you to stay soft and sorry.
Good.
You didn’t survive to become palatable.
You survived to become unstoppable.
Walk like it.

FIRE! 🔥 Also may I add many of us out here who are progressively healing from past hurts are now finding out who we are and the possibilities we are capable of achieving. For me I am tapping into a new season of confidence and self worth that I was not aware of before. Thanks for sharing Cody!😊
This knocked me off the kitchen stool. Your line, “They call your strength arrogance because your loyalty no longer outranks your clarity” is perfection.
